Board games for two people
Monopoly games, chess, Cluedo and card Games are perfect Games to play if there are only two players.
Monopoly games Monopoly is a great game to play if there are only two players. There are different Monopoly games available, but they are all played in the same manner to the same rules. It’s a strategy game, so each game provides fresh challenges. It’s not a quick game to play, so it may take you a couple of hours from start to finish.
Cluedo This is a great game for up to six people, but we’ve had lots of fun playing Cluedo with just the two of us. It’s for ages eight years and upwards, so it’s good to play with the kids. Cluedo is easy and fun to play and quick to set up. The aim of the game is to find out who committed the murder. You’ll have to pay attention to the questions being asked and also the answers. You can then use your reasoning skills to deduce whodunit. Was it Prof Plum in the lounge with the dagger? Reverend Green in the kitchen with the revolver? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the rope?
Chess Chess is a popular strategic game. Chess sets range from plastic sets to collectors antique sets. You must learn the rules and moves of each playing piece before you play the game. It’s better to play chess with someone who knows the rules, so find someone who can play and is willing to teach you.
This is great game to teach your children, who could then develop their skills at the school chess club. Chess is played in pairs, but is played with more people in tournaments and clubs.
Card games With loads of card games to choose from, you’ll have your favourites. We play rummy and trumps for fun, but we have friends who are serious bridge players, and some friends who never miss their poker nights.
Snap cards- Our children loved their first game of snap. We have at least two sets of picture snap cards; one set with pictures, and another with pictures of butterflies, tractors etc that has the word written underneath. The kids love playing Old Maid and Go Fish, and we find the adults can join in and still enjoy themselves
