Bicycle blogs – 6 top bike blogs
Whatever type of bicycle you ride, there are blogs to help you follow your sport or hobby. Mountain bikes, road cycles and BMX Bikes are well covered by articles, race information, clubs and news. It’s a great way to stay informed and up to date with the latest developments. News blogs like the Guardian cycling blog covers all aspects of cycling news, and other smaller blogs may focus on one area of interest. We’ve put together a few blogs that may be of interest.
The Guardian’s blog on bicycles covers the UK and the rest of the world. Daily blogs are posted on news and items of interest they have a monthly podcast, a selection of sites they like, and related sites such as cycling holidays. The Guardian’s weekly column is called Two Wheels and discusses anything related to Bikes including bike festivals and helmets. The Cyclingnews blog page has a host of contributors writing about cycling and all things related to bicycles. There’s a last post updated section where you can catch up with the latest posts, accessed from their website or via an RSS feed. There’s lots of good reading here, with cyclists from all over the world blogging. This is the site of bikeradar’s own blog. As well as serious issues they have articles on road trips and rides. The site has plenty of images to back up the posts. Cyclingweekly has news, a twitter following and a blog. They have posts on the Tour De France and articles from the cyclingweekly staff and editor. Cyclestreets is a UK bicycle route planner that allows you to plan your cycle route from A to B. The site’s features include a photomap, journey planner and a blog. The cycle route planner was launched in 2006 in Cambridge, and they are working to produce a national system for the UK. The blog keeps you up to date with the development of the planner. The Wiggleonline blog has sections on events and athletes diaries, with posts on rides, Team Wiggle members and some good YouTube videos to back them up.
