All about girls bikes from a four year old
We asked an energetic four year old what she loved best about her Girls Bikes and where she likes to ride. Lucy is four years old. She loves her Girls Bikes and plays with them as often as she can. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining; she puts her raincoat on and wellingtons and goes in the garden to play. She has a pale blue two wheeler bike and a pink three wheeled tricycle. She likes the pink bicycle best because it is pink. She prefers to ride her pink bike in the garden and her blue two wheeler to the park. Her two wheeler has stabilisers on, but she wants to learn how to ride without them like her older brother. She says mummy is going to gradually higher the stabilisers, until she can ride without them. We asked her if she liked boys bikes. She said she would like to ride her brother’s bike, but she prefers the colours of girls bikes. When asked where she likes to ride her bike, her favourite cycle ride was to the park. She likes to take her blue bike to the park and ride up and down the pavements. Luckily all the pavements near Lucy’s home have been adapted for wheelchairs and cycles, so it’s easy for her to negotiate the pavements. She said she sometimes crashes into the kerbs when she’s crossing the road, just for fun. Her helmet is pink and she always wears it. She likes to cycle fast, get off and walk for a while, and then get back on. In other words, she doesn’t like to ride when she feels tired, so mum sometimes ends up pushing the bike home. Lucy likes to play in the sunshine in the garden, with her Dolls and playhouse. One of her favourite activities is to wash her bikes. She has her own bucket and sponge for the job and in warm weather mummy lets her use the hose pipe. She has a white basket with pink roses on the front of her bike. She uses this to carry all her treasures and Dolls around. It’s getting a little bit worn now and she’s hoping for a new one for her birthday.
